The Healing Arts Center at Northeastern Rehabilitation Associates is an integrative medicine program whose goal is to educate health care professionals and the community about the efficacy and availability of integrative healthcare services for specific medical conditions and illnesses. Our goal is to combine traditional medicine with evidence-based complementary treatments possessing established medical principles.

In so doing, we can offer patients the broadest scope of resources available to achieve maximum healing. The cornerstone of integrative medicine is the partnership between the patient and the practitioner. This partnership stems from the premise that both patient and practitioner appreciate the influences that lifestyle, nutrition and mind-body interactions have on overall health and well-being. Thus the focus of care shifts from merely curing illness to encouraging wellness and healing. By educating the patient, raising his or her awareness, and teaching him or her the specific means of self care, the integrative medicine practitioner enables the patient to play a vital role in his or her own care.

Integrative care utilizes a team of licensed medical professionals who offer an interdisciplinary approach to wellness. At the Healing Arts Center, patients can take advantage of the following techniques: acupuncture, therapeutic massage, and chiropractic. Each fully certified and licensed practitioner is committed to combining complementary and traditional therapies to advance patient healing and wellness.

The Center’s foundation is good medicine, whether its origins are conventional or alternative. It is based upon open-minded, clinically supported science, emphasizing common principles and medical practices directed toward healing and lifestyle changes.
